Modifying a plan involves a few simple steps.

1. Most minor changes can be done "on-site". In this case, simply order the plan as is.
2. You may want to purchase the Digital File (CD) of the plan and have the changes done by a local Designer or Architect.
3. If you would like our designer to make the changes for you, first fill out the form below to receive a free quote on the cost of making the changes.
4. Once you have received your quote, if you want to go ahead with the changes, you must then purchase the plan (see below) and remit payment for the changes. The plan, including the changes, will be shipped to you once the changes are made.
5. Please read the following important information:
   • You will be required to purchase a minimum 3-copy set of plans for this design before changes can begin.
   • Modifications involve redrawing the plan. Additional charges apply, and changes may take from 2 days to 6 weeks to complete.
   • You will receive a quote from us within three (3) business days of submitting your modification inquiry.
   • The quote you will receive for the modification is good up to 90 days from the date it is issued.
   • Decide on the modifications that you would like made prior to submitting your inquiry. This gives our Designers the ability to provide an accurate quote. Any changes to your original inquiry will be subject to additional charges, or will be treated as a new modification inquiry (in which case a separate quote will be required).
   • If you would like to go ahead with the changes, you must order the plan and indicate the Inquiry ID that we gave you. Our Designer will then contact you to confirm the changes before starting on them.
   • Plan reversal is not a modification. Plans must be ordered in right reading reverse format, or as a reproducible set and then printed locally in mirror reverse.
   • Plans cannot be combined due to copyright law.
   • Plans cannot be adapted to local building codes, nor can we guarantee that modifications made will comply with local codes. You may be required to have a local Architect, Designer, or Engineer review the plans.

Tips for receiving a timely and accurate quote:

• Be as detailed and specific as possible. Include measurements and distances and make reference to existing plan features.
• Fax or e-mail a sketch of the floor plan marked with the changes you would like. Make sure that the sketch matches your written inquiry.
• Do NOT request reverse drawings, local building code compliance, or combining of plans.
